Simple! Just enroll in monthly e-statements, set up a direct deposit, and make a minimum of 15 transactions each month to qualify.
Eligibility for Baton Rouge Telco’s Premier checking account varies on a month to month basis. If non-eligible, you will simply earn the standard rate for that month. There will be no additional penalties. Opportunity for re-eligibility will open for the following month.

*APY – Annual Percentage Yield. APY is Telco’s current rate. Rates may change after account is opened. Minimum deposit of $5.00 to open account. Dividends are calculated on a daily balance method and are compounded and credited monthly. To qualify for 4.00% APY, the following qualifications must be met within each month: 1) make 15 debit card transactions (non-ATM) that post and settle to your account before the last day of each month; 2) receive direct deposit in any amount to any account within the membership; and 3) enroll in eStatements. The monthly qualification cycle is defined as the period beginning the first day of the current statement cycle through the close of the current statement cycle. If you do not meet all the qualification requirements during the monthly qualification cycle, you will receive the dividend rate of the Elite Checking account as listed in the Rate Schedule; the balance of the account must be at least $2,500.00 to receive dividends. Fees may reduce earnings. For new members, an additional minimum deposit of at least $5 will be required to open a Regular Share account to join Telco. Membership requirements do apply.
